Specializing in Trauma-Informed Pain Relief, Stress Reduction, Relaxation, and Rejuvenation
In The Moment was established in 1998. Our mission then and now is to honor body, mind and spirit of all who enter our doors and to offer our clients a professional and personalized experience helping them to attain and maintain health and well-being.
In The Moment specializes in client-driven, healing focused, trauma-informed body work for pain relief, improved functioning and reduction of physical, emotional, and mental stress. Our licensed massage therapists have been trained in a variety of techniques in order to customize each and every session to our client's specific needs.
Taking care of yourself should be a priority. When we are functioning as our "best self", we can serve people and the world around us.
In The Moment can Help in 3 ways:
1. Massage Therapy - the manual manipulation of the muscles and other soft tissues of the body (as by stroking, kneading, or rubbing with one or both hands or an instrument) by a massage therapist for therapeutic purposes (as to relieve pain, promote healing, or improve physical functioning)
2. Meditation - A practice in which an individual uses a technique – such as mindfulness, or focusing the mind on a particular object, thought, or activity – to train attention and awareness, and achieve a mentally clear and emotionally calm and stable state.
3. Trauma Touch Therapy™ (TTT) - A bodywork modality that is designed to meet the needs of people with trauma histories. It is a simple yet profound, body based, integrative approach to healing trauma, unprocessed emotions or the stress that lingers in the body. It utilizes the wisdom of the body, social engagement, curiosity, movement, breath, touch and self-empowerment.
TTT is a collaborative approach to healing trauma and each session is as unique as an individual’s set of personal circumstances.
4. Reiki - A hands-on healing therapy, Reiki is a therapeutic approach in which the practitioner facilitates the delivery of universal energy to an individual to enhance vitality and promote the body's innate ability to heal. The intention of the Reiki practitioner is to act as a conduit for the delivery of universal energy and thereby replenish and restore energy flow and balance.
