Wendy Coester is a Licensed Massage Therapist in Pennsylvania. She started learning massage in October of 2007, after 3 previous careers – secondary education (French), retail management and IT help desk for a bilingual company. You will hear her say jokingly that after 37 years, she finally figured out what she wanted to do when she grew up. She started working at In The Moment in February of 2008 while attending the Pittsburgh School of Massage Therapy in Penn Hills. At graduation in October 2008, she had over 800 hours of massage training and practical experience, including anatomy, physiology, Swedish massage, neuromuscular therapy, stone massage, pathology, medications, ethics, assessment, Reiki and introductions to shiatsu, aromatherapy, hydrotherapy, reflexology and sports and myofascial massage. All this education and over 2000 massages under her belt helps her “troubleshoot” when a client comes in needing pain relief. In 2009, she graduated from Mt. Nittany School of Natural Health as a certified yoga instructor as well. She uses her knowledge in both areas to help people learn their bodies, relax, and become present.
