• Individualized Therapeutic Massage is a massage session that is curated by the client and massage therapist designed to address the specific needs of each client. ITM massage therapists have been trained in a variety of modalities that can be incorporated into a tailored session to help promote healing, relaxation, reduce pain, improve functioning, and reduce physical, mental and emotional stress.
• Prenatal Massage is a technique involving deep bodywork to improve circulation, take strain off muscles and joints, and help during prenatal pregnancy phases.  
• Palliative Care/Hospice Massage Quality of life matters. Massage often promotes a greater sense of connection between the mind and body complexes.Recent studies have proven that massage can decrease pain, fatigue, stress, anxiety, nausea and depression. Massage can also enhance a person’s quality of life, promoting a greater sense of wellbeing for the patient, as well as their caregivers. Palliative Care Massage addresses the client’s symptom issues, the side effects of various treatments, the physical, psychological, social and emotional consequences of living with a terminal illness.  Hospice Massage can provide comfort and dignity at the end of life, is a hands-on complementary approach for those in hospice and palliative care that enhances quality of life. Combining sensitive massage techniques, focused touch, one-on-one attention and communication skills can be highly effective for those in later life stages. The unconditional gift of touch acknowledges the individual's worth regardless of the condition of the body or mind, easing suffering on all levels.

• Usui Reiki  is an energy healing technique that promotes relaxation, reduces stress and anxiety through gentle touch. Reiki practitioners use their hands to deliver energy to your body, improving the flow and balance of your energy to support healing. Mikao Usui developed reiki in the early 1900s, deriving the term from the Japanese words rei, meaning “universal,” and ki, which refers to the vital life force energy that flows through all living things. Now, reiki is used all over the world, including in hospitals and hospice to complement other forms of health treatments. Trauma Touch Therapy™ is a noninvasive client centered bodywork modality, which allows clients to minimize the impact of trauma on their body,  gain tools for deepening body awareness, and improving their ability to stay present and grounded within their body. 

What it entails:

• Each session lasts 90 minutes minutes
• Sessions are typically scheduled once a week or every two weeks.
• Light to medium touch may be used at times, but is not required and is only used with permission from the client. 
• The process is intentionally slow and gentle to ensure that re-traumatization does not occur.
• 10 sessions recommended but not required
